ManDido

ManDido the one who jump started the hand drumming scene in Vancouver 1980 and in Montreal 1970, on Mount Royal, bringing the idea of Sunday drumming in the park from L.A where he grew up and spent many Sundays drumming in Griffiths Park. Dido is the Man who deserves a standing ovation for a job well done. ManDido specializes in School playshops and drumming workshops for adults,cooporate events , retreats summer camps, conventions,  festivals the visually impaired and more. available for recording sessions, sideman gigs dance class accompaniment. Gary Cohen (Victoria)

I teach an ongoing drop-in multi-level class in Middle-Eastern and Balkan rhythms every Tuesday evening at 521 Superior St. in James Bay, Victoria. 7 to 8 p.m. for people with little or no experience in hand drumming  and  8:15 to 9:15 p.m. for advanced students. Drums are provided. $10 per class.

FUN !! Clear and easy to follow step by step instruction.

My experience includes presenting workshops at  Vancouver Rhythm and Dance Festival, Rhythms Tent at Northwest Folklife in Seattle, and Seattle World Rhythms Festival. I am available to give workshops in your area.

Cheryl also plays didgeridoo and other instruments for yoga and pilates classes around Vancouver.
